I went to the dungeon in Limgrave (Lengrave? whatever) that's right next to the tutorial. I went down the ladder and found myself in a pool of poison, then just "noped" right back out again. Instead, I finally finished off Stomveil's master (battle spoilers, obviously):

That was my first try on the guy and I barely got touched until the very end. He gave me the runes I could use to get level 40. I'm guessing I spent way more time in the first area than the boss was designed for.

And then there were.... the two fingers. Kinda hairy fingers. Was NOT expecting that!
Godrick took me a good few tries the first time, nice.

Did you go through the other side yet?

Yeah. I got to pick up some grapes for the nice lady, but otherwise it was strangely empty. It opened up into the next area, but I went around the side of the castle quite a while back, so I had already been there. (That's where I picked up the lightning spear thing.)

I never did get the 'snap fingers' thing to work to talk to that wolf guy. Oh well, I'm badly over-levelled as is.

Roblox wants to be the Windows equilevant of Children games. Its defense it is just makes the platform and others make the games on it... handy.... its not our fault what creators put on our platform... difference between them and MIcrosoft is the later doesn't make any profit off the applications written to use it (and you know, its not always online.

Sorry, that defence doesn't work when the main audience of your platform are children who don't always make rational decisions about their actions.

I am not the age group for this game, and most of the problem people in the game aren't either. That is the problem. There are no actual age restrictions. There is no verification of identity.

I avoided it because its not for me... seems others saw it as a smorgasbord. All you can eat... They misunderstand what game is for. Or do they?? Who is the actual customer here? What is being sold?

roblox response makes me wonder. They want problem to be hidden... stop talking about it, stop looking

The reveal of Liurnia of the Lakes coming out of the castle is pretty special, do you mean you hopped around in the corner on Torrent or something? I think that didnt used to intentional but you could kind of Skyrim jump around, maybe they patched it to work later.

Looks like it could be fun. I did enjoy Palworld for a while, but I thought it got a bit boring at the end (map being a bit barren, etc) so perhaps this game will be a bit better exploration wise.
Have you played Pal World recently? All I know is they've added a bunch of new content. I might reinstall it.

@Pifanjr I could have sworn I had Inscription. I even remembered to check Epic, but no luck. However, I did find this free game:

Haven't tried it yet, but it has Very Positive user reviews. Apparently it is more like Slay the Spire than Inscription, but....free

I have not, but I might test out what has been updated before this one releases:

I'm glad I waited a month or so before starting Dune Awakening. By the time I got there, everyone had either quit playing or moved to the Deep Desert. I've seen like 2 or 3 people the entire time I have been in Haggin Basin. I occasionally go to the Deep Desert, but Guido is back in school, so I'm officially just goofing around. Going to craft all the stuff we didn't prioritize before, work on the base, etc. I just got back from a mining run and got 2000 aluminum, 1800 basalt and 1200 fuel cells. I've made the base so big that those fuel cells will only last 2 days if I don't turn the equipment off.

Edit: Never mind. Somehow, conserving energy doesn't change when you are going to run out of energy.

No, there's a proper path! From the Stormshack save point, go under the huge bridge and keep following the road to where it becomes a ruined bridge. You can jump down from there, head to the castle wall, then follow it so you go around the east side of the castle. There are a few spawns of wolves and an ashes of war, so it's intentional.

You don't have to do anything special to go to out-of-bounds areas in Dune Awakening. You can just stand in my garage and fall through the map. But that's not as much fun as getting out of your ornithopter and watching it fall through the map.

If it's just you and you don't want to be where you are under the map, they have an "Unstuck" option that moves you to another location under the map. Don't worry, though, you'll soon die of thirst and go to one of your spawn points. No, that's not right. You'll go to the location of the trader in the starter area where you will have to go raiding to get money to pay a pilot to fly you back to the main area of the game (all the money you had stays under the map).

I thought I remembered some speedrunning videos of people hopping on the mountains to get around the side there and skip Stormveil, don't think Ive been that way myself and I spent a lot of time trying to go everywhere especially in Limgrave and Liurnia the first time around. The game is huge!

I guess generally not playing games near or pre-release and not playing a lot of open world games I dont often end up falling through any scenery!

Supposedly they have it fixed now. It had something to do with whatever it is that prevents clipping.

Astroneer still has this same problem with vehicles even now, years after they went to 1.0, but at least in Astroneer, that just means that you can find your vehicle in a cave below wherever it had been parked.

Played some more Barotrauma with my friends. We had to loot two more wrecks. The first one was fairly easy, with just a couple of husks that we could lure out to be shot by our sub (though we did get hit a bunch, but one of my friends is doing a great job as the medic).

The second one was infested and grabbed our sub with a giant claw and shot paralysing exploding alien cells at us. We lost two assistants and the medic died and had to respawn, but we did manage to clear it out.

We still made some pretty decent money though, so we're getting close to being able to afford a tier 2 sub.

Free deck building games are the best. Even the worst deck building games have some interesting ideas.

@Pifanjr does your daughter play Terraria with you? PalWorld just had a major update with a big Terraria crossover. I remember that she was playing PalWorld at least a little.

No, we haven't played Terraria together. We haven't been playing on the PC all that much because she's getting quite a bit of screen time in the morning because she wakes up at 7 AM while I try to sleep in until 10. Not something I want to make a habit of, but it's only one more week until she goes back to school and I go back to work.

Downloads the last epoch patch, having forgot it came out a few days ago. 14.5 gb
odd to me that the download speed is half my write speed. You would think it would catch up
Guess it must cache some before it starts to write them
Ms9Y2wx.jpeg

Writes will stop soon enough to wait for the blue line to catch up anyway.
Maybe next week I think to ring up and get my speed raised to 500mb/s. Always something else needs doing.

Trying to figure out why my topic on overclocking was deleted or moved? Would be nice to get a heads up if it needs to happen or maybe im just blind.

Been playing Cyberpunk 2077 since i started a fresh round of OC tinkering. Everytime i log in there seems to be new missions, i like that. The game is still really gorgeous to drive around in and doing nothing but driving and maybe random events.

Kiling Floor 3 is still here. Tripwire has released very little patch-wise since its launch roughly a month ago when it needed patches ASAP. Changed my review to a downvote. Look i enjoy the game esp. when im playing with someone i know but it needs work and content and some more communication because Tripwire has been pretty quiet outside a post about its launch weekend and then 2 random "backend maintenance" patches which did really nothing to the game. I also still get frequent disconnects.

Edit: Saw the topic of OC was moved to hardware but im not talking about hardware, just the act of OCing cards for gaming/working so i put it in general gaming because im not looking for questions, or how-tos, just a question on who does it but its fine.

I started a run with the second character of Backpack Heroes and was pleasantly surprised that it has both a new way to manage the backpack space and an additional mechanic for fighting enemies. The game is still far too easy, but the variety in items, quests and now characters keeps it interesting nonetheless.

I haven't been to the third area yet, so I expect there will be a bump in difficulty there. Whether it'll be enough to make the game challenging remains to be seen.
