Deus ex was one of the best games in 2000. i played the demo and loved it so much that i bought the game the next day. its one of the few games that i've actually completed multiple times.

So to see the remaster and... its such a waste of potential. i expected better then a reskin with upscale graphics etc. i think it was in line for a complete remake. lets face it even in 2000 some of the mechanics were dated or flawd as hell.

The game deserves better and this feels kinda lazy, should have taken the night dive system shock (1) approach to remaking the game. Something familiar but mechanically improved. perhaps even remaking entire levels and making it more like human revolution/ mankind divided maybe.

yeah, not exactly impressed by the "remaster". i'm getting the GTA remaster vibes all over again.
There are a few things that make me excited for it, graphics not being one of them. The revamped UI for controllers is interesting, I wonder if that will also include revamped UI for mouse and keyboard. Using the F key row for the augmentations was always my least favorite part of the game to the point where I sometimes will forget to use augs. Ragdolls are always cool, especially if you like to play stealthy and need to move bodies around. Besides that, not sure what else is new besides the graphics. I hope Aspyr will take all the criticism it's getting and rework it a bit.

Id really tempure my expectations on a remaster
They are generally just tweaks to modernize the game slightly and the main reason is to release them for a specific console. . This game is so old and engine is quiet limited. they just add the comp release for comps because its easy.

Its like when the remaster for life is strange dropped and people lost their minds screaming cash grab, but all it was, was the ps5 release. Anything past getting it working on a console or pc with updated resolutions is most likely unrealistic.

There are a few that updated the games a bit like the bg enhanced or mass effect but really they just tweaked the games, more like polish than any sort of remake. Just getting them running on a new console is enough for me, any extra is just bonus.

The Deus Ex remaster looks absolutely terrible. Regardless of whats being done to it and when the original game was released. Its not even done by probably one of the only companies that does remasters rather well which is Nightdive Studios. System Shock 2 being the latest one.

The game IS coming out on Steam but even the stores main picture makes the remake look terrible imo. Sad to see and they want 30 for it? Id rather play the original for 2 bucks if this is what its going to look like.

What did look good at the state of play is Marvel's Wolverine. Although PC wont get that right away, it is scheduled to be released for it sometime after. Im not a marvel fan at all but that game looks like itll be a bloody good time.

Path of exile and i have finally got the 27 of the 28 challenges done. A bit of patience for one of them and splashing some quick cash for the second one. The latter for some reason cocked up so i was one short of target for the challenge but a quick purchase and i was back in the game.

So what next? i currently have 2 target challenges. One, is more luck based where i have to wait for the right thing the spawn, i've done 11/15 so just for 4 more people. Only problem is that they aren't spawning and its pissing me off. i don't know what triggers them. i play the hardest content and they don't appear, play easier content and they materialize. Repeat the latter process and they've stopped appearing...

the other challenge will require more work but is slightly more predictable. Only problem is that there is an element of luck as well but we'll worry about that later as i do have other possible things to work on.

fingers crossed something happens or i might have to keep working at it till mid october...

it reminds me a mix between rocksteady's arkham knight series and also maybe prototype. Would love to see more of this, maybe see more numbers and extreme content like fighting choppers etc.

That did look awesome. I'm not a huge superhero fan but Wolverine has always been one I liked a lot. The movie Logan was amazing as well. I'm glad to see the game take a somewhat more serious tone like that movie.

I saw the Gameplay Reveal trailer, but it had maybe 2 seconds of actual gameplay in it. It indeed reminds me mostly of the Arkham games and maybe the Shadow of Mordor/War games. It looks interesting, but definitely not something I can play where my kid could see it...
