I'm so intrigued by the aesthetics of BRAZILIAN DRUG DEALER 3. It oozes the type of hyper-specific, niche internet humor that has rotted my brain for decades, yet I just know I won't enjoy actually playing it. I have the same issue with Cruelty Squad: I absolutely love the aesthetics but the actual gameplay makes me want to rip my hair out. I can only take so much intentionally-crappy and obtuse mechanics and features before wanting to cry myself to sleep. I played for about 3 hours before my eyes started to bleed out my skull. I absolutely adore and respect these games, they are incredibly idiosyncratic, just not very enjoyable.

Well, if nothing else the full name should win some sort of naming award.

I've got a very large rotation of games currently, but the boomer shooter I'm playing now is Captain Wayne - Vacation Desperation.

It's straight up just a DOOM WAD created into a standalone game. However, the artistic value, unique mechanics and awesome level design more than make up the $10 price tag.

The story and cutscenes remind me of a Newgrounds animation straight out of 2005. If you were around that specific corner of the internet around that time, you'll really enjoy the story this game has. It's not very in-depth, but the character writing is hilarious and it does a good job at moving the story along to set you up for new levels.

Weapons feel amazing. You have a shotgun arm that feels satisfying to use, your chain gun shakes the whole screen until you deplete all your ammo, bombs and fun to throw and feel satisfying to get kills with, and your melee kick attack also helps you cover large distances by jumping and kicking at the same time which propels you forward. Enemy variety is nice as well, with each one having their own strengths and weaknesses you have to take into account.

8/10

I love the graphics. Retro but not retro and sort of playful.

Prodeus is a lot of fun. The reason I tagged you is because you've mentioned level editors before, and this has one. I haven't tried it yet, but it must be half-way decent because there are a ton of user made maps. I'll give it a try and see what it's like.
