Fair enough, doesnt sound like anything is a must buy immediately then. Ive only really just started and havent worked everything out yet. I'll check them out when theres a sale on.Well, I was mostly interested in the adventure aspect of it, as well as their commitment to historical research. I got the first 4 on a sale. The bigger ones add whole campaigns but even the cheapest one adds more events, characters and mechanics.
They don't turn the game on its head but if you enjoy the setting (and I really do enjoy it very much) it's a way to appease that feeling of "give me more of this, but new and different".
The events turn to turn and the extra diplomacy from family and court matters spice up the sort of maintenance turns where its just a matter of choosing buildings as and when they come up when the civs are just kind of expanding exploring. I like an historical setting and it seems to be done with love here, but Im not any kind of ancient history buff so the game itself is the main draw for me.
