Civilization VII recommends 16 cores and 32GB RAM for 4K gameplay — RTX 4070 or RX 7800XT is the minimum

However, the CPU and GPU requirements do seem a bit more reasonable.

But not for Civ 7 in 2030s. Small maps v 3-4 opponents, graphic extras turned off, 1080p—there are advantages to being one of the most customizable games.

I suspect those 4K reqs are to leave headroom for the expansions in 2027-8. They may want to experiment with using AI to power the… well, AI

Max the CPU, if you must save, do so on GPU—you can play with low graphics, but not with slow CPU unless you want 'Just one more minute' between early turns.
