A true viking clan leader knows when to conquer and knows when to treat with his rivals. Thus, I would be the kind of leader to wield an axe in one hand, and a shield in the other. The shield of diplomacy in dealing with those who I have a vested interest in forming an alliance with, and an axe to deal a deft blow and send my foes to Valhalla.

I'm a diplomatic viking clan leader. There is a quote about diplomacy; “Diplomacy is the velvet glove that cloaks the fist of power.” So, I think diplomacy is more powerful weapon than war.

Conqueror. To go viking meant you wanted to conquer. You need those spoils to augment your poor harvests! Plus the battlefield is where you proved yourself worthy to the gods!
