Haven't posted too much, mostly because I've been busy, but also because I haven't really sat in front of a computer for awhile. My Deck has been the easiest thing to use in my house lately, so I end up not checking the forum and posting. Right now I'm laying in bed, on my phone, which is annoying to write on, but it's the calm before the storm which is getting up and feeding everyone.
I really like Yakuza: Like a Dragon and have continued to play it here and there, but I'm also beginning to slow down on it again and looking for other stuff to play. In this, I've finally started Resident Evil 7 in earnest.
I wouldn't say I'm easily scared and playing this series and other third person horror/action games doesn't bother me in the slightest, but RE7 has got my goat. The main reason I've been putting it off for so long is that I find the first person perspective just makes everything that much more freaky.
That said, I'm about 2 hours into it and past what I'd consider the scariest part, which is the intro and so far? Seems pretty alright. It's a Resident Evil game, which scratches a particular itch for me, so I'm liking it for that reason. One complaint I do have about it is a complaint I had about Alien: Isolation; there's these forced stealth sections where you basically don't get to play the game. You're forced to just hide and wait for whatever it is to go away and see what the game wants of you. This becomes pretty tedious, but thankfully, it's only been a small part of the game so far, rather than the entire thing like in Isolation.
