How do you like Cronos? PCG basically hated it, but I see that it has 86 percent positive user scores on Steam.
Having not read anything about it, what do you think is the reason for the disparity?
As for Borderlands, I need to give these games another shot. When I played the first game, I kept ending up with guns that had outrageous bullet spread and got frustrated.
I hated the first game.
The second was alright. I bought it and played 20 hours of it a couple of years ago and had fun with it to that point. I always think about going back to it, but Borderlands feels like a "filler" game to me; something I might play when nothing else is appealing.
Finally made it down to Reactors proper last my night in Abiotic; it's pretty cool. Weirdly, I thought it was initially a tiny zone, but once you get rid of the thing barring your path, it opens up into a hug area, which is awesome. Encountered a new enemy which seems damn tough, some sort of psychic military guy.
However, before I got down there I got a recipe for some new armor, which I had to build immediately. Not only is it extra armor, but it gives you extra movement speed, stops you from breaking your legs during a fall (which is great, since I often jump off high things)
and summons a pretty strong Exor Monk to fight alongside, which has come in absolutely clutch.
The thing has been killing a lot of stuff on its own and in the case of the psychic military guy, served as a perfect distraction while I hammered away at it from behind. I'm not sure I'd have been able to kill it otherwise.
I had been starting to feel pretty powerful in this game, but a spat of newer enemies has kind of put the power curve back where it started, where I'm feeling like most everything I'm coming up against is pretty tough and challenging.
