I have no idea at the new riddle again.

Sorry, on reflection I've made it pretty difficult.

A hint: You can guess the game name from the first two words of the riddle.

I've never played Yakuza, nor know much about it.

A pity, it's a really good game. Something of a JRPG/fighting game hybrid. It has a lot of zany side quests but the main story is pretty intense. It's also got enough mini-games that you get an achievement just for trying all of them!

We start and end by missing our footing at the hinged barrier - each level starts and ends with a slip gate (missing our footing - slip, hinged barrier - gate).

Our man keeps his distance - the main character was called Ranger.
