Hi guys! I want to share my gaming story with you because I think it can help a lot of people trying to game on low-end PCs. I have a really bad PC, so I thought I couldn't play many games. However, I tried to boost my FPS for God of War last week and actually got great results!
For those with low-end PCs, here’s what I did: First, I changed my OS to GhostSpectre, which gave me about +5 FPS. Then, I tried overclocking all my PC parts with Afterburner, which also provided a +5 FPS boost (though I don’t really recommend this one).
The best part was discovering Lossless Scaling. I bought it on Steam, and it gave me a fantastic +15 FPS! After that, I found a project called Lossless Scaling++, which is free on GitHub (loseless-scaling.github.io). I tried it, and it produced shocking results—about double what Lossless Scaling provided, giving me +40 FPS in God of War. In the end, I was playing God of War at 65 FPS!
Lossless Scaling isn’t well-known, so I encourage you all to give it a try, even if you have a good PC. It can be life-changing! (I have an R3 1200 and a GTX 1050.)
