so my question is this why in your story did you change KCD2 official sales number to a player count so you could make a comparison to shadows players counts to make shadows look good the number they changed was 2 million copies sold in just under 2 weeks to 2 million players in two weeks so shadows would look successful ... essentially why did you outright lie is my question

were you paid by ubisoft or are you a biast review site ?

I doubt you will get an answer from staff here, moderators here like me are volunteers not paid by PCG or anyone else.

For my part, I'm not sure what part of what article you are referring too, so its hard to comment on whether anyone lied or not.

I think different staff here have different opinions and its reflected in the articles. I suspect the number of articles about any game is a direct result of public interest in that game, crossed with writers finding something they can write an article on.

they were making a comparison of shadows and KCD2 .where if you look on both official twitter pages you can clearly see the author of said article changed the very successful sales tweet from KCD2 on 2 million copies sold in just under 2 weeks to a player count in order to compare it to shadows and obviously make it look like shadows is doing better than KCD2 is

I think I found it.

In fact, Shadows is on track to be one of the biggest game releases of the year. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was hailed as a hit earlier this year and took two weeks to hit 2 million players, a milestone Shadows reached in just a few days.

I guess he might be talking about total sales including consoles KCD2 was much bigger on PC, there was an article the other day where Ubi stated that only 27% of their players are on PC. I'm not that familiar with the particular writer, says he's a contributing freelancer.

Heres an article from Andy Chalk:

In hindsight, though, that delay was the right move. One game isn't going to reverse a company's flagging fortunes and it seems likely that Ubisoft will undergo some sort of major transformation in the not-too-distant future, but Assassin's Creed Shadows passed two million players in just two days, an admittedly mushy metric that nonetheless puts it among the most popular games in the history of the long-running series. It's not a revolutionary gaming experience but it is a very good Assassin's Creed game, and assuming Ubisoft's goal was to make a very good Assassin's Creed game, hey, mission accomplished.

Its difficult to compare the two games popularity. Assassins Creed as a series is massive on console and also available cheap if you subscribe to UBI Connect or whatever its called now so comparing player count to sales is a bit unfair or 'mushy' as Andy puts it, fair enough. I would say that in the first article I linked its probably more indicative of the leanings of the particular writer doing the comparing than evidence of bribery.

I assume youre a fan of KCD2 and youre upset someone would say a UBI game was doing better. Thats cool, I hear its a great game and I'd also personally be more likely to play it than Shadows right now, but I cant care enough to follow you down this road.
