It's apparently a collection of 50 8-bit games. Has anyone else heard about it before?

Just saw the news, Speedball is getting a remake!

Rebellion's just surprise rebooted a '90s classic and released it on Steam

Brutal Deluxe will return.

now, not sure if this really going to matter, but whether this is a remake of Speedball 1 or speedball 2. never personally played speedball 1, but me and my brothers loved speedball 2 on the amiga. I suppose it shouldn't really matter, i would like to see more of the side content like management etc and the variety of players, maybe spice it up with events etc.

So i hear The Thing remastered is being released. Christ is it OVER 2 decades old?! I heard the game was ok, but i have heard there were some criticisms with some of the gameplay mechanics and ideas. Identifying who is the thing is surprisingly easy (they tend to be somewhat quiet...) the mechanic is surprisingly flawed. i remember in one example if you only had one NPC following you, they eventually become the thing. Even if you test them and confirmed them human, a few seconds later they change despite not being killed/infected etc.

The second thing is the second half of the game, the whole mechanic just gets tossed out the window when you go to a secret miltiary base apparently.

Mainly as in the past controllers were made differently.

reminds me of Apollo Engines, we can't make those anymore as no one knows how.
