Just having gotten into Everspace, I'm a fan of the Coil, Flak, and Shock Rifle PRO-- pretty much everything else I've gotten my hands on or put a few upgrades into. My first win on normal difficulty was (IMO) very much due to the fact that I had a distance advantage thanks to a Shock Rifle PRO. The Flak simply strikes me as both powerful and fun, leading my shots and getting definitive feedback on hits. Coil, Beam, and Lightning weapons are what strike me as quintessential space arsenal. I'm sure whatever I might look forward to in the sequel will be greatly surpassed. Thanks!

Please translate the following into english, because I can explain it better in german to you, what device I like best to have in the ships. If you have no time to read everything, you will find my suggestion at the end of the text.

Ich probiere immer wieder neue Kombinationen von Energiewaffen und Projektilwaffen aus, um den meisten Spass beim spielen zu haben. Ich finde es berauschend, den Schild eines Gegners schnell zu zerstören um ihn dann z.B. mit der 40 mm Gattling, mit max Feuergeschwindigkeit und Raketen den Rest zu geben. Oder erst mit der Railgun den Schild runter schiessen, um dann ein paar Raketen hinzuschicken, bevor er in Feuerreichweite kommt, um den Schwarm an Gegnern etwas auszudünnen.

Ist vieleicht etwas overpowered aber ich könnte mir eine Waffe vorstellen, die kleine schwarze Löcher erzeugt, und Gegner verschluckt, so etwas wie den ARC-9000 aber kleiner und auf Befehl hin aktivierbar. Man könnte sozusagen inaktive schwarze löcher verschiessen, die auf Komando hin aktiviert werden und starke Gravitation ausüben.

Was auch cool wäre sind Raketen mit Mehrfachsprengköpfen.

Ok OK, Ihr seht schon, dass es mir an Ideen nicht mangelt.

Here comes my suggestion for my favorite device :
Eine Energiewaffe, wie der Pulslaser, die Railgun, oder der Beamer jedoch mit einem zweiten Feuer Modus. Die Waffe verschiesst Energiekugeln mit moderater Reichweite, die zur explosion gebracht werden können, wenn man sie abschiesst, bevor sie von alleine explodieren. Um heftigen Schaden an den Gegner zu verursachen muss man den Zeitpunkt genau abschätzen können und gut zielen. Verry tricky I guess.

I'm looking forward to the temporal nano recompensator. I tend to play hard and fast, and very often die from taking on more than I can chew. On the first Everspace I almost always have an emergency shield device equipped to allow me to charge in with wild abandon. I think having a device that automatically repairs hull damage if possible would be another safety net that I would use extensively.

Definitely railguns. One of the most fascinating pieces of tech, with this one in particular actually slowly becoming a real thing, too! Those types of things would be scary in an orbital bombardment version.

To be honest, what device (or whatever could that be) I'd love to see is something enabling more stealthy play style. Unfortunately, even with the stealth craft, like many other games, first Everspace suffered from the "you sneak, sneak better, sneak damn well, then you meet the no-sneak boss (or just fail) and are sneak vs GUNS" syndrome (ok, this is light years to Deus Ex level of bad, but still).
