Bought this on sale this week, so I'm sticking with the overall Dune theme.

Played my first game and conceded defeat after inadvertently destroying myself. I still have some holes in my understanding. Unlike Civ, this was actually pretty challenging, and I'm enjoying it. I'm not exactly sure what is happening, but my units seem to fall behind at some point. I need to read up on the military buildings.

I followed the development of this game for quite a while, but I felt like this is a game that should be played with friends to get the full experience, but I never got around to playing it with friends.

Because of the AI? In my short time with it, it seemed better than Total War Warhammer's AI, but I'm still pretty early in the game.`

It's like playing Risk or Catan versus AI. It works, but you miss out on the scheming and betrayal, which is an integral part of the Dune experience.
