Dune Spice Wars

Bought this on sale this week, so I'm sticking with the overall Dune theme.

Played my first game and conceded defeat after inadvertently destroying myself. I still have some holes in my understanding. Unlike Civ, this was actually pretty challenging, and I'm enjoying it. I'm not exactly sure what is happening, but my units seem to fall behind at some point. I need to read up on the military buildings.

I followed the development of this game for quite a while, but I felt like this is a game that should be played with friends to get the full experience, but I never got around to playing it with friends.

It's like playing Risk or Catan versus AI. It works, but you miss out on the scheming and betrayal, which is an integral part of the Dune experience.
Just depending on who it is, 2 or 3 peoplw in the Marvel univers;
Hahahahahaha I fell asleep in the middle of posting and somehow still posted.

Anyway, I see what you mean. Two people really isn't enough either.

Solium Infernum is another game people say is better with more people.

Agreed, you need three people at minimum to be able to plot and preferably at least four for proper scheming.

I once played the board game of The Game of Thrones with 6 people that took us 8 hours, mainly because people kept going off into other rooms to scheme in between each turn.
