I am not up to date about your sports activities but saw the last line of the 3d printer. What size bed did you get? Mine is ULTRA small (110mm x 110mm) think that is roughly converted to 4inches x 4 inches. Originally got it to repair broken equipment parts like microphone casings etc. They always tend to fall, crack or break somewhere and it is cheaper to print a new casing than to replace it. Unfortunately using it for anything other than what I got it for is not viable unless you glue the parts together. Hopefully you will be able to do more with your 3d printer than I am able to do with mine.
Oh, I don't do sports. I'm a rugged indoorsman.
My bed is like...230x230, I think? The printable space is only like 180x180 though. It's an Ender 3 that my buddy broke, so he gave it to me and I managed to fix it by giving it a new motherboard and an upgraded z-axis sensor to give it automatic bed leveling. I've been trying to use it to print some terrain for one of my wargames, but it's been stringing real bad, so I've been messing with it trying to figure it out; yesterday I printed some towers to find the correct hot end spec, as well as some different towers to test retraction speed and it
seems like I've got the stringing sorted. But, I've just ordered some blower fans and I'm going to
upgrade the cooling on the nozzle, though I'm not sure if that'll work with my Z-Axis sensor, so we'll see.
Ultimately, I just want to print some European style houses for my wargame I play.
Doing my rear brakes on my van today after finally receiving a tool to measure the inner drum thickness. Once I've got that spec, I can proceed with whatever parts I need and hopefully knock it out today. Never done drums before, so I'm a little intimidated, as they look pretty scary, but apparently they're pretty easy on the whole. That said, I'm feeling lazy this week and don't want to do it. I would rather dial in my 3d printer, as well as do all the errands I need to do (which have been constant this week. Every day a new one).
So, sitting next to my van with the wheel and drum off I thought I'd give a nearby Brakes Plus a call and price it out. After explaining what I needed and the guy working with me over the phone, as well as applying a discount, they quoted me $1000!! Thanks, but no thanks. Even if I need to replace my drums, not accounting for my time, I can do this entire job for $250. That's highway robbery.
