Rationale:
- GPU: can't get around the 3080, hands-down the fastest card within budget for Cyberpunk.
- CPU: with this gpu, we're going for eye candy; WQHD and ray tracing. The 5600X is a perfect fit, lightning fast and affordable.
- Motherboard: B550 is the obvious choice, with support for SAM, PCIe 4.0 and excellent RAM compatibility. Sensible model that ticks all the important boxes (good I/O, decent VRM's, doesn't look half bad either).
- Storage: decent NVME drive. We can splurge for faster but it won't make a difference in gaming performance. TLC chips are a no-brainer for a primary drive.
- RAM: we need a lot of bandwidth combined with low latency. Faster RAM makes a huge difference in Cuberpunk as Igor demonstrated. 3600 C16 seems to be the sweet spot when budget is constrained.
- PSU: as a rule we don't cheap out on the PSU; quality units only, for our precious components. The FD Ion series is great quality, powerful, efficient, stable and it comes with fantastic flexible cables.
- Case: the Meshify series offers excellent build quality and performance for money. No frills (which is how I like it).
- What, no aftermarket cpu cooler? Nope, this cpu is economical and will do just fine with the stock cooler.

with this MB one can just replace this cpu with a 100$ USD more to get a latest games-top spec 5600x. Also when available, a 6800xt would be a great alternative to the 3080.
