Why?
Because my dad will definitely play a barbarian. Diablo is one of the first games I played as a baby, my dad would play diablo with me on his lap.
He's over 50 now and we live thousands of miles away from each other. I can already tell thanks to the betas that we'll play together and he will run head first into enemies as barb.

He used to carry me on his back, now I'll need to carry him in Diablo IV.

That's a lot of game, but luckily you've got a lot of GPU to go with it. Diablo 4 is nice and well-optimised, which means the beefy RTX 4080 will have absolutely no problem rendering it at dizzying frame rates even with all your settings turned up to ultra.

Plus, the 4080 has support for Nvidia's latest DLSS 3 frame generation tech, which can dramatically improve your frames-per-second while actually reducing the amount of grunt work your GPU has to do. The hardware team keeps trying to explain this to me; they lack the courage to admit it is magic.

The Diablo 4 Collector's Edition comes with the game along with all sorts of physical tchotchkes to confuse and intimidate future house guests with. Necromancer - I love the idea of customising my own troop of skeletal minions; I think that will be a fun feature of the class. Plus, dark and edgy necro vibes are unbeatable imo

The sorcerer- long range power and flexible options for various forms of damage! if ARPGs have taught me anything longer range attacks will keep me alive longer. POE has made me favour magic classes.
