The first video game I remember playing is Call of Duty Classic. It was an unforgettable experience because it introduced me to the world of first-person shooters and immersive storytelling in video games.
Call of Duty Classic is a remastered version of the original Call of Duty (2003), which was first released for PC and later made available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game takes players back to World War II, where they experience combat from different perspectives—American, British, and Soviet soldiers.
What made it so memorable for me was its realistic gameplay, intense battles, and historical accuracy. The missions were thrilling, from storming enemy bunkers to surviving ambushes in war-torn cities. Unlike many modern shooters, Call of Duty Classic focused heavily on teamwork and strategic combat rather than just fast-paced action.
The game’s sound design, including gunfire, explosions, and voice acting, added to the realism, making me feel as if I was truly part of the battlefield. The campaign mode had some incredibly well-designed missions, and each one kept me on edge with its challenging objectives.
Playing Call of Duty Classic for the first time was an incredible experience that sparked my passion for first-person shooters. It also made me appreciate the evolution of the Call of Duty franchise over the years, from its historical roots to the modern warfare settings we see today.
