@Pifanjr Thats weird about your Epic numbers in GOG Galaxy. Mine seem to be pretty accurate but Ive only really played Alan Wake 2 and Gloomhaven more than a couple of hours there.

I really wish GOG would work on Galaxy properly again. When it was syncing perfectly a few years ago ot became my default launcher and actually made me consider buying games in GOG much more. Nowadays I'm back in Steam 90% of the time so I dont even really check out the sales anywhere else. I tried Playnite for a bit but didnt get on with it, maybe I should try it again.

Any of those games new entries this year? Theres a couple in your Steam list I havent heard of before.

she told me to make forbidden west my xmas pressy from her.
Glad to be of service to you both!

Okay, I managed to sync my GOG Galaxy, so I have the updated list:

It's possible I had Loop Hero and For the King running in the background while working as well. I thought I played those after my job told us to stop playing games on our work laptops, but maybe I'm misremembering.

No. It's probably a mix of the more obscure Epic freebies and just some other obscure games I've picked up over the years.

I don't think I own or have played any games released this year. And the only game from last year I've played is Baldur's Gate 3. Which I just realised isn't on this list because I played it through Family Sharing, just like Rimworld. I guess I'll need to get yet another update to this list once I figure out how to get the playtime for both of those.

EDIT: Rimworld is in my Recently Played and has 149.8 hours, still trying to figure out how to get the playtime for BG3.

Never used GOG before. I installed it and got a few accounts linked, but it isn't playing nicely with Steam. I'm stuck on "Offline / Retry", which apparently is a known bug. I would have thought if I'm going to have problems it would be with Ubi and EA/Origin, but those are working ok.

I had the same problem, but after updating the Steam integration plugin manually according to these instructions it was working again.

Apparently they stopped actively working on it and went into maintenance mode so it will probably deprecate over time. Shame because it was really good when it was working and I bet a lot more people would be willing to buy from GOG more often if it worked as an everything launcher. I know I was.

Having said that its working alright for me at the moment, so who knows.

Eador, Guild of Dungeoneering and the Warlock game I didnt recognize from your list.

I was more meaning any games youve played a lot this year that moved up your list? Pillars of Eternity 2 came out about 5 years ago but its one of my most played games ever after this year.

I don't remember why I got Eador: Masters of the Broken World, but I bought it on 21 December 2013 for €4,74, so it might have just been a game I picked up during the winter sale. It's a sort of roguelite 4X game with Heroes of Might and Magic like combat. Apparently a full campaign can take 300 hours, but my save got corrupted after about 75. It's interesting, but pretty janky.

Guild of Dungeoneering is an Epic freebie. It's pretty good, but according to howlongtobeat it should take only 27 for a completionist and I don't think I completed everything.

Warlock: Masters of the Arcane I apparently got in a Paradox Interactive bundle from HumbleBundle. It's a Civilization V clone set in the universe from Majesty 2 with a larger focus on combat.

Comparing the screenshots I posted from before and after syncing, it seems that Fallout 4, XCOM 2 and Subnautica are new additions and Vermintide 2 moved up a bunch. Though I think Fallout 4 is still from last year.

Thanks, I'll give that a try tonight!

Figures. I tend to catch on to things passed their heyday. At the very least if I can get it to work once I'll be cool with that.
