Question Upgrade a external HDD with SSD

Hello, I have External HDD Seagate Expansion Portable 1TB, 2.5", USB 3.0, Black and after 5-6 months of use it has broken down. My question is : I can replace this HDD with a SSD without a problem?

Typically, yes. Keep in mind that the SSD's performance will be limited by the USB interface. Still faster than a HDD.
