I got really hyped for Secret World right up to the moment I saw the gameplay. What a disappointment that was.

I played in the beta but couldn't get anyone else I knew interested in playing.

What If we got a single-player version of Secret World?

The original or Legends?

Save for some dungeons and the raids Legends is very solo friendly (but it can be a grind to get the gear to solo some of the dungeons). The original was significantly more challenging for a solo player.

What if AI is full of nothing but nightmares and that's why we get such nightmare inducing results from AI art sometimes? What if it's just pure chaos we're trying, and failing, to control? (Okay, well, it is that second part isn't it?)

Whichever. I'm just looking for the secret societies in the modern world with fantastic powers. The first Deus Ex was messing around in that space, too, but didn't follow up on it. Control taps into the idea somewhat.
