I like that the Steam page for OpenTTD claims that the name is not an abbreviation for anything. I guess that's not enough to avoid being taken off of Steam as a standalone game.

I noticed that too, they don't make any direct mention of Transport Tycoon Deluxe which I thought was hilarious. Never played the original, but picked up OpenTTD just in case I do want to play it. I checked out the new listing for TTD and there is no mention in the store page of improvements or enhancements, another reason why I grabbed OpenTTD, it's actively updated.

This thread is dangerous for my backlog I keep grabbing free games “just in case” and never actually install them.
