Do yourself a favor, if you're like me and hate cringey poorly written dialogue, disable all voice audio in this game. The way the story is presented is very poor in my opinion, it's Marvel levels of character writing. The game shines through its puzzles and levels making the dialogue is entirely optional to me.

Trine Classic Collection - Free on Epic Games for the next 24 hours

Apparently Trine 3 is not side scrolling, it features a 3D world in third person, but Steam reviews are the lowest in the series.

Some of my favorite childhood platformers are free on Epic for today only, and they've all been updated for better crossplay with Steam owners

Trine's a little long in the tooth now, but its co-op antics are no less enjoyable.

I recently read a PCG article where the author called Total War Three Kingdoms their favorite TW game. I also remember reading that Wildgate was a good game but quite complicated for most casual players, so the playerbase really fell off sharply. Hopefully with it being free more people are checking it out. It's also co-op so grab some friends and enjoy a free game. From the videos it looks like a sci-fi Sea of Thieves in the sense that you must maintain your ship at all times especially during combat, but it's round-based rather than open-world.
