Hi there!

I've been looking on some co-op games to play with my gf while we're on quarentine together. We had a blast on Castle Crashers (we've just finished), but any game style would fit. Just looking for some good, fun co-op experience to play with her. Only thing is the game has to be played all on my PC (her notebook sucks).

So, can you give me your game suggestion?

Thanks in advance!

You can check Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2. It's a nice piece of RPG. If you prefer something more competitive then there's the immortal Heroes of Might & Magic series. I especially suggest HoMM3. It's the best in the whole series and it offers hot seat mode, so you can play even on one computer.

Orcs Must Die 2 is ridiculously good fun!

I'm not sure if the coop is local or not, however the game should run on just about any potato she's likely to own.

The Civilization games have hotseat multiplayer, which you can play as coop. The full Civ 5 bundle can be got for pretty cheap on sale, or there is civ 6 for the most recent instalment.

For ARPGs, Victor Vran. Zombie Vikings. Blood Knights if you have a pair of controllers. Warhammer Chaosbane.

Outward, which you can get for like £3.50 on the Epic store right now due to a sale + voucher.

Resident Evil 5

Don't Starve Together - not sure if couch coop but can almost certainly run on a potato. Widely rated as one of the best coop titles around.

Check out Cooptimus - they specialise in (you'll never guess ;)) coop reviews and listing coop info for games:

Beyond: Two Souls with Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe.

I have the 1st Enhanced Edition, but I've been wondering if it isn't a bit too complex for her to play as her first RPG. Will see with her. Thanks!

OK wow, so much details! I guess Don't Starve and Orcs Must Die 2 are a must to my library, and I'll also check Cooptimus. Thank you!

Well, streets of rage 4 is out or if you want, go for streets of rage remake if you can find it.

I suppose there is orcs must die 2 as well for some coop fun.
Guess the side-scrollers and metal slug types are a good option to check with her. Thanks!

Don't underestimate it though. As far as I've tried and I've heard, Don't Starve (Together) is pretty damn hard :p.

I personally really would recommend LEGO games. Fun, hilarious, and not that hard to play. Should be a fun series to start with.

I can recommend Stardew Valley. It's not split screen, but it probably has even lower requirements than Don't Starve.

You can make Don't Starve a lot easier by changing the world generation parameters. You can increase the amount of resources and decrease enemies and hazards, including making nights and winters shorter.
