PC buy for Minecraft and Roblox plus

Hi all.

I am looking to buy my son a gaming PC for his 12th birthday. He only really plays M!necraft and R@bl@x at the moment but may progress onto other games in the future.

I have never really been a gamer and I am not into computers so I don't really know what I need to be looking for in a PC for him to use.

Can anybody point me in the right direction please?

Ouch, that's a big bite out of the budget. If you have a spare TV, that could be used and keep the £500 for the box—it's still going to be a low-end machine anyway.

This laptop is on sale on Scan for just over your budget. Should play Minecraft and Roblox fine and a laptop solves the monitor issue.

Unfortunately a tower and a monitor with similar specs will run you a fair amount more than that. Keyboard, mouse, Windows and so on will up the cost quite a bit as well.
