Hi everyone,

I am delighted to be a part of the PC gamer fraternity and my name is Syed Danish Anwar. I am a married gaming geek with 2 kids hailing from Karachi, Pakistan.

I have been playing video games since 1989, mainly on consoles and PCs. My first ever console was the Atari 2500, which my dad bought me when I was 6 years old. Over the years, I have owned Famicom, Sega, PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS5. I also played games on PCs, with my first gaming PC powered by Nvidia Geforce 2 back in the early 2000s.

Today, I play mostly RPG and action games and also dabble with emulators. My favorite games of all time are Elden Ring and Sekiro, which I played on my PC. I also loved playing Meta Gear Solid (1-4), Uncharted, Resident Evil (RE 0-6 and Veronica X; I didn't like RE 7 and 8 First-Person style), and the classic Final Fantasy series (FF 1-4, 7-10, 12 and 13; I didn't like action oriented FF XV and XVI).

Other favorite games include Top Gear 2 (Sega), Tecmo Cup Soccer Game (Famicom; Captain Robin version), Mario Odyssey (Switch emu), Mario 3D World (Switch emu), Mario 64 (N64 emu), Mario Kart 64, (N64 emu), Donkey Kong (Atari 2500), Pacman (Atari 2500), Street Fighter II (Famicom), Half Life 1 and 2 (PC), Grim Fandango (PC), Red Dead Redemption (PS3), Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (PS5), Tekken 8 (PS5), and Street Fighter 6 (PS5).

Currently, I play games on my PS5 and HP Envy x360 powered by Intel i7 12 gen laptop. I am saving to buy a PC powered by Nvidia 5070 and AMD 5 7600X CPU next year to fully transition to PC-only gaming as I find playing games on PC cheaper and more fun than on consoles due to mods and other stuff.

Hey everyone, I am memedealer,
I have been a gamer since I was 6 in the mid 90's.

I got into pc gaming in 2017 when ryzen launched.

My love for pc's and tech has evolved a lot since then.

I build pc's, i enjoy tinkering oc'ing, trying new perihperals, trying new coolers and settings.

I mostly play shooters (cod,halo,marvel rivals,fragpunk,splitgate)
but I like all kinds of games, cyberpunk, diablo, palworld, really I will try almost any game once and I like vr as well.

I have enjoyed my journey through the pc space as so many people are open and willing to help someone knew learn and enjoy, and I too enjoy helping others, especailly new beginner builders or gamers.

irl I am going back to school rn for CS/IT after 10 years of mental and physical health and disabilities.

Hi everyone, I am Zuruchon. I started playing computer games as a child. My father ensured that we had the current games until his death. We ended up going through some financial problems and I stopped playing games.

I now have children who are fascinated by games. So I want to give them all the support I got from my late dad. I am here to learn about games so that I can enjoy more time with my children.

I have read the rules and they are just fine. But I will be glad to get more tips from the members of this community.

I am really excited and hope that my journey here will be worthwhile.

Cheers.

Should probably have done this first.....missed the sticky somehow.

I am no Computer Techie, also not an expert gamer. Been tinkering with PC's since around 1988 till now. Do my own pc repairs (software and hardware) and usually assist my family if they need something like that done.

I am a Music Transcriber so most of my days goes into music and have a few students I work with after school with regards to Transcriptions and music. Most of my software are Music related but do have the occasional game when I take a break (usually between 10pm to 3am). Since I am working for myself, my day starts when I get up in the morning (around 9 or 10 am)

With my limited self-taught knowledge, I might have answers for some. Being part teacher, I should in theory be able to convey the information effectively.

If you need anything music related (Know it is not the right website or forum for it, but worth mentioning as my introduction), then I am pretty much your man (LMAO). Been studying, writing, composing, arranging and transcribing music for about 32 years and dabble on a few instruments as well.

That would be me in a nutshell

We do have https://forums.pcgamer.com/forums/pop-culture-entertainment.41/ https://forums.pcgamer.com/threads/coconut-monkey-cornerclub.5741/ and https://forums.pcgamer.com/forums/gaming-accessories.22/, that might be up your alley. To be honest, music talk goes around in different threads, so don't be shy jumping in on something you find interesting or if you want to make your own music-related topics.

Thank you Frindis. Will have a look at those forums. Most Music forums I have found are more discussing bands and if you do find a forum which is more "Theory" they tend to try and outshine each other instead of build-up. Everyone had to start somewhere, and then you have people with years of experience just trampling the newcomers. So "most" theory forums are 1. Dead (no one talking), 2. Experienced people downplaying anything they do not agree with and lastly 3. Everyone will just tell whoever is asking the question to go read the manual.

Musicians tend to be touchy, so they avoid each other as much as possible by the looks of things. I probably just fell off a different boat somewhere with my way of thinking is that "many years ago I probably asked the same questions, and someone helped me through it".

All that said I will go have a look at them thank you for the referral.

I also find these links helpful. I have been exploring the forum and it's an interesting place to share ideas. I am glad that there are sections of the forum where we can share and discuss our personal activities. Thank you for the recommendations.
