I do kind of wonder if there's a feeling of discontent I'm not properly identifying that causes this in me. I do think it tends to happen when I don't have something else to let my brain obsess about, be that a particular game or project or something.

I think I tend to be happier when a project of some sort is absolutely eating all my brain space. I don't think my wife loves it, but I do think it's generally helpful to my well-being.
Yeah Home Depot are great at resolving things. It's also not surprising sometimes weird mistakes happen, after all, they are dealing with big pro orders from construction businesses, AND consumers. When I moved to where I am now I'd forgotten to take the furniture dolly I'd borrowed from a friend. Fortunately the Home Depot I mentioned was right on the way there, so I stopped in and rented a furniture dolly and a box dolly (what used to be called a hand truck, but with a flip down loop of tubular steel). That box dolly came in really handy, saved some time and my back I think. They also pressure washed them both for me as I told them I was going to be using them in an apt building I was moving into and didn't want to take them into the place all grungy.
You know, you could always do that noise again, upload it to YouTube, and post it here... what? No?? Oh come on! Be a pal! ;)
I've never ever even been good at doing impressions, especially on cue when asked. And that wasn't even an attempted impression, more of a weird sounding yawn that happened to come out. Of course when people are standing there asking you to do an impression they don't give a damn about all that.
