Always started with Barbarian in all Diablo series, so it's a go-to class I typically like to play first. Rogue looks like a lot of fun and has high mobility for getting around quicker.

As I've never played any of these I'd probably start with the Barbarian race and move on from there.

I would choose the Barbarian for my first play through to get used to the game then probably go for the Necromancer on the second go round, let the dead work for me while I put my feet up and have a cup of tea.

I reckon I'll be reprising my role as a Barbarian. Not played Diablo before but I've always fancied it since enjoying Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance 1/2
...Plus, let's be honest the 4080 would be nice too!
