Which zombie apocalypse do you prefer to participate in?

Endless zombie apocalypse games out there. You need to pick the one to live in...

I'll go with probably the obvious choice, Dying Light 2. The humans, while not living the high life, are doing okay, and you are essentially a super hero. If everyone were like you, the zombie apocalypse would be over by noon. But also there are decent sized human communities working to get to exist within the madness. Sure, there are plenty of evil groups of people, too, but overall this is definitely where I could see myself surviving for awhile.

I haven't played that many zombie games and after looking through lists of zombie games, I've come to the conclusion I've really only played one truly apocalyptic zombie game: Left 4 Dead. Even assuming I would be immune to being turned into a zombie, I'd probably get eaten within the first day of the outbreak. Even the normal zombies are pretty fast and strong and will easily overwhelm pretty much anyone with pure numbers.

Dead Island is not fully apocalyptic, so there's at least hope you can escape back to civilization. Also, a lot of the zombies are a lot slower than the Left 4 Dead ones, but there's still quite a lot of them that can run and there are a bunch of special ones, so not great either.

Dead Rising has the weakest zombies, but I think every game also ends with the zombies contained, so it's not really apocalyptic at all.

Other than those games, I've played Call of Duty: World at War zombies mode, but that has too little information about the context of those zombies to say anything about how it would be to exist in that world. Similarly, Killing Floor has no context either, but those zombies are much worse.

There's also Dead Space, but I don't really count Necromorphs as zombies. Regardless, that's probably the very worst case scenario anyway.

I’d say Days Gone. I have a huge soft spot for the PNW, so the scenery is a big part of it. Besides that, the zombies are quite brutal and you need to be smart about your choices. You can’t run around shooting your gun at every zombie you see, you need to be stealthy and resourceful with your supplies. It seems the game is more rooted in reality than a lot of other zombie games, so in a way it’s good practice for when the apocalypse really happens. But those hordes man… no one can survive that in real life

Dying Light 1 is a safe bet. Good amount of save zones, and a nice arsenal of weapons and skills. The grappling hook is super efficient in avoiding zombie attacks and high-rise buildings are everywhere for easy defense or escape if needed.

Dayz is my second choice. It is a much larger world, so zombie density is not that bad if you do not visit the major towns. You can build a small base or put down a tent deep into the forest and only wolves would probably find you. The main reason Dayz is more dangerous and a second choice is because of how fast you can get sick and that there are human players with their own playstyle. Some cannibals, some medics, some builders, some rooftop snipers, you name it.

Mine would be Call of Duty: Zombies, because at least when you kill some zombies in this world, you get things to drop like insta-kill and nukes, so when you pick em up, all enemies either die right away within your vicinity or you get 1-shot kills with anything you hit a zombie with, including your own hands!
