what party games or board game you guys play when you are young?

Plenty of board games, besides your usual connect 4, battleship, guess who i did play war games. Most notable being Dark world and Space crusade

Dark world looks impressive with all the tat that came with it. but to play was a bit meh at times. Also the faffing about setting it up meant we stopped after a while.

Space crusade i was more initially introduced to the amiga game first before the boardgame. i found it in charity shop and bought it. problem was that it was missing some pieces. Most notable being the dreadnought. We didn't faff about with the wall pieces or the doors and for the most part we ignored most of the rules and adapted it to something more to our liking.

Grass was the best party game, played a ton of it. Would also play a lot of Cheat and This Game which forum rules decree is unnameable in this safe space.

Board games; a bit of Risk, Monopoly basic stuff until much later on when we played stuff like Catan, Carcassone, and also Cards Against Humanity. I had and loved Heroquest when I was really young but I mostly played it by myself because I was tooo cool at 8 years old.

Risk! That was pretty fun! Diplomacy was great, too, but a bit hard on friendships. You pretty much had to backstab to win.
as a kid i always wanted risk, but we never got the game. Tbh the game could go on forever with only a few users. i do look and see many variations of Risk now and the future one did intrigue me as you went to the moon if i recall.

We did have more of the common board games like battleship, fustration and guess who. The latter one did have a few strats i recall. For the record the one we got was this one:

As you can see if you picked a female character you were screwed as most of them were male. choosing a person with a hat (especially female) screwed you over and if you picked the lady with the glasses it was practically a sure fire loss as there is only ONE lady that had glasses.

Still did anyone play those VHS based board games like atmosphere or that star trek one?

My favorite game is UNO. I often played that with my friends and family. I just looked it up and it looks like we can play online now.
