I don't tend to play anything on VR. I did manage to try Gran Turismo on a full force feedback, driving simulator setup in VR and it felt nothing like driving normally.
'Hellblade' is the closest I've came to a game that I've felt so immersed in (from a different perspective) that it freaked me out. The audio in the game while wearing headphones and having voices whisper into your ears, are somewhat creepy and unsettling.
'A Way Out' played with a friend has also provided some level of immersion that was unique.
It's been a long time since I've felt heavily into something that I couldn't quite snap from.
