My favorite moment was when I played CS online for the first time with my virtual friend on Discord call. We laughed a lot about my stupid mistakes, he ended up carrying the whole time because my ping was so high I even threw grenades at him a couple of times lmao

PS.: I got a dupe key and can't message you, is there an alternative? ;-;

UPDATE - Codes are halfway gone! Click on my profile name to send me a message if you received a duplicate key, so I can replace it for you.

I once read somewhere—on the internet, so it must be true—that your eyes have a thing called 'immune privilege.' In essence, your body's immune system lets your eyes get away with all sorts of stuff because if it behaved normally, causing swelling and/or high temperatures when your eyes got poorly, there's a risk it'd interfere with your vision or damage your eyesight long-term.

Which is cool. Anyway, I mention this because I think even your immune system would have to drop that laissez-faire attitude if you developed Eyes of Hellfire, which is both a painful Biblical curse and a co-op horror videogame out of Blumhouse. You and up to four friends (outrageous; who has four friends?) find yourselves trapped in the headquarters of the Hellfire Club, based on real-life Irish legends of a fancy-yet-sinister secret society, and must explore until you find your way out. Also, don't die. Not dying is a prerequisite to escaping.

Sound interesting? Great, because we've partnered up with Blumhouse to give away 500 (count 'em: 500) codes for Eyes of Hellfire. Between August 29 and September 9, 500 lucky forums users can get their hands on a code for the game. Oh, and fear not: you don't also need four lucky friends to stand a chance of playing—if you own a copy of it on Steam, you can use the Friend's Pass to get your pals in on the action.

To claim your code, start by:

  • Comment in this thread and tell us your favorite co-op moment in gaming history.
  • Follow the instructions in our Gleam widget to claim your code.
    • (Make sure you read the terms and conditions in the Gleam widget, too!)
We only have 500 codes, so don’t wait!
So by far my fav co op moment has been playing through it takes two with my daughter. She was 6 at the time and its amazing to see my lil girl go from not used to 3d platformers, to telling me she wants to "speedrun" which meant we could run and race each other.

We just finished split fiction, she's 8 and it was wild watching her go through that too, as she is now out pacing me in some games, but cant beat it takes two...

I'm assuming codes have run out by now, but @SHaines some folks aren't able to message you due to (understandable) restrictions on newer accounts if they entered earlier and got a duplicate key. What's the best way to reach out, in those cases?

I really enjoyed Valheim, more specifically playing with my brother while he was stuck overseas during covid, you could easily spend a good few hours chatting away about anything and everything, exploring the map and building random things together.... The gameplay is great in that sense, nothing overly complex/too much focus or requiring fast internet - allowing for great conversations and lots of fun.

I've had a few moments I've fondly remembered, one was in one of my first games of lethal company where we were about to leave but a dog got in and I crouched down by the console and held my breath as the dog stopped right in front of me before turning around and leaving

It has to be back in the golden era of gaming, Halo, Ragnarok Online, Original WoW, Ultima Online etc.

I remember when nobody knew what to do in Ragnarok Online. Where people, not some written guide, or some npc telling you what to do. We the community all worked together to expand outward.

Knowledge was valued, people tested enemies for weaknesses, and more. It was interesting times where players were guides, and everyone was together.

Me and two of my friends were playing GTFO for basically the first time. One of my friends said 'hey, you can open the minimap with Tab and you can draw on it.' At that moment, all three of us, unprompted, opened the maps and drew a *male reproductive organ* on the map.
