Neverwinter nights 2 is one of my favorite rpgs ever made, gog sells the new and still has the origional which is from the early 00s.

It has so much classic dungeons and dragons in it that its the closest ypu can get to many of the stories from the dnd boom of the 80s.

If you want post apocalyptic how about wasteland 2. Its turn based from 2014. The game is wonderful though so id say give it a chance. The characters that join you are great with some really unique flavor. Its a grity rpg in a dark world yet some how pulls off being light hearted. It also has great music and voice acting.

Mass effect andromeda, its semi open world but story driven. For me this one is way better than the origional trillogy. You play an explorer trying to find your place in the world for your self and humanity. The story has many twists and turns. The comat is fun and the world is very sci-fi and just blasting around in the vehicle listening to banter is fun just in itself. To me this game is a step up from the trilogy, that to me is just another solider story. Though its well done or at least 2 and 3 are, for me ME is just better all around. Besides there is nothing cooler in scifi faming yhan the mysterious Andromeda Vaults. It also goes on sale bundeled with dragon age iquistion for 10 dollars from time to time!

Go with playing an explorer, and play sara over scott. She fits the game far better. Though i also think fem shep is better in the trillogy due to Jen's amazing voice work. Her VA is what kept me going in the first. But Sara just works and fits the game so well, and her banter and quriky emotional relationship with her AI sam is something wonderful.

Lastly, maybe give banner saga a try. Its a turn base, survival, visual novel that is truely unique. Its a nordic story that deals with death, loss and betrayal. The game play is also very unique as it goes agianst the bormal mow everyone down one by one and instead you engage armies and weaken characters in a game of attrition. The story is a huge strong point and your choices really shape how the game goes and plays in the harsh un forgiving great snowy north.

You cant go wrong with any of these all are in my top 20 games of all time going back 30 years of computer rpg goodness.

Must admit, did not think this would ever happen again. Was merely a wish.

Friday afternoon sat down in front of the PC, started up Pathfinder and took me around 5 Hours to do the grey garrison. This was all good, was still around 9pm. Enough time to just look at the new map and try it out. Ended up getting into bed 7am this morning. Since "Let's just see this......" or "Just let me finish this" was some of the words used during this session.

But back to previous post. Yes it was the AI that was on. Didn't know it was there since it never showed up in any of the hints. Also found my stealth there (LMAO). The magic combat controls is also sorted. Switch on the setting to see each character's times during combat. This solved that.

Took me an hour's search to realize the storyteller disappeared. Remember talking to him in camp but could not find him after that. Just wanted to give him scrolls again........apparently, he comes back in act 3. (Yeah, eventually had to google it.)

The "risk" game confused me in the beginning. But got a handle on it at around 3am which resulted in "Ok so let's see what is beyond this tower" words being used.

TBH I have not even installed ELEX yet so would not know how it is. LMAO

Best way to describe it is it's not a AAA game, but it's like those B movies ya love to watch. They ain't gonna win awards, but there's just something campy about it that ya still like it. Kinda like junk food for the brain.
Jupp, that sums it up. Reminds me of the first thing I did in ELEX. I went to a high-end zone, got smashed. Then I went to the same zone, kited the mob to some NPCs that just went ham on it. It's cheesy, but oh so efficient! :D

Thanks to all of you, you can keep names and ideas going but by the looks of things I will be stuck with pathfinder for a while.

I would say about mid act 2 (per game but personally would call it act 3) I stopped and restarted the game. Gained enough knowledge to create my own character and see how most things stick together.

After getting my feet wet with my first gnome (think was a gnome, could have been a half-ling) rogue character (pre-created rogue character) I settled for a Slayer/Rogue mixed character. Also upped the difficulty to hard. Made a few different choices and last night switched off when entering the maze. Must add, switched off my whole team died at the water elemental. Will find a way to conquer that one sometime today.

Will see how far I get with it but ATM the mixed class seems to work for my kind of game play.
