Secret World Legends

Have you tried it.
After seeing a few players talk about it on here i decided to give it a try and the first thing i noticed was how small some of the print is , especially the text that tells you what your current mission is.

If you are too close to a solid object you are constantly clipping through things like walls.

I spent around 4 hours on the game trying to like it but i could not get into it ..... did i give it long enough ???

I haven't tried it. I wasn't even aware it relaunched as Secret World Legends.

I thought the concept was really interesting when I first heard of the game, before it released, but when I saw it used the traditional MMORPG game mechanics I lost all interest.

I have hundreds of hours in both Legends and the original.

It definitely has some jank and is by no means flawless, but it offers the second best storytelling in an MMO next to SWTOR, has an interesting setup for combat and special abilities and a really great setting. Sadly the first three areas you start are by far the best setting-wise, but the other are pretty good to.

Still it is has been an all around solid experience for me because its overall concept just clicks with me. Some parts are brilliant, most are fun, some are WTF, but it's been incredibly satisfying to me.

One of it's best feature, though, is the ability to redo almost every mission there is in the game. If you liked a certain mission or chain of missions or one particular area you can go back and do them over and over (after a cooldown). No need to make a new character.

It also has some very challenging (and sometimes obscure) puzzle elements that might take looking outside the game (not just solutions, but actual research). Those can be annoying at times but you don't really lose much from having to look up the solutions. I've looked up plenty.

I'd at least try to get through the first area, Kingsmouth. It wil give you a chance to see how rich its storytelling can be. And yes, the jank does take a little bit getting used to. If you are already past that the

It's been a while since I played, so I can't remember if there's settings for print size and whatnot, but yeah. It's small.

One caveat is that it's essentially a dead game. People still play it and I think all of the content is there and there are no plans I've heard of it being taken offline, but nothing new has been added to it in years. Bugs from launch day still exist. So it's a finite endeavor and quirky (at times) endeavor.
