Satisfactory ending warning

This ones for you ZED...

This is NOT a spoiler..... DONT initiate phase 5 sequence if you want to carry on using the game.

I made a save before i started the sequence just in case something went wrong and i am glad i did.

This may not be obvious but after the sequence and credits are done you can stay in the game but you wont be able to do anything,

EXAMPLE ...... If you want to do something to a machine it will show the key you use to do it on screen but it wont let you do anything.

Hi Colif ... i agree with you on that ... in mass effect 3 you got a warning about the last chance to save and it ended with a cut scene that lasted about 20 minutes , it was so good i reloaded the save to watch it again.

The dumbest do you want to continue statement was in one of the dragon age games .... as the game progresses every location was burnt to the ground..... at the ending you was asked if you wanted to quit to desktop or go to do all the side quest etc that you might have missed ....... how can you do that when all the locations have been toated.

its possible game rolls back progress to let you do them. Otherwise, yes, that is dumb.

Can you give feedback to the Satisfactory devs? Maybe suggest a warning at that point.

So here's a bit of number crunching for for.

Spent 3722 hours on this playthrough

coal power stations 540

nuke power 46

boimass 2

map editor does not show alien power augmenters so look at screen shot for power out .... only 1 was given 30% boost.

assorted extractor type machines 657

production machines 2131 ... 900 in 1 factory

storage containers 8402

belts 562 km

pipes 84 km

power lines 294 km

drone ports 274 .... made in chains with 1 drone on each to supply the others with batteries.

train set up.... 16 end to end

freight wagons 149

hypertube 57 km

teleport machines 18

i did not use the blue print machines to do anything because i like to think things through for myself

NO mods or trainers were used in my game .... just a calculator and lots of paper plus headache tablets.

What is it you can't do? I just watched the credits and everything seems fine?

Cyberpunk 2077 had a very clear and useful point of no return message. One of the last missions, you need to enter a club to start it, and as you interact to open the door it tells you to finish any business before proceeding. I was at that part of the game for a good 20-30 hours, trying to do as many side activities as possible. It’s a great QoL feature that more games need to have.

Thanks for the heads-up! It’s great that you made a save before starting the phase 5 sequence; that’s always a smart move. It’s frustrating to be stuck after the credits roll, especially when you can see what you need to do but can’t interact with anything. Hopefully, the developers address this issue in future updates! I needed help with my thesis, so I decided to use Academized’s Thesis Help https://academized.com/thesis-help service. The writer provided invaluable feedback and helped me structure my thesis more effectively. The entire process was smooth, and I was able to make significant improvements to my work. It really helped me feel more confident about my submission, and I’ll definitely recommend this service to anyone needing assistance with their thesis.
Thank you for taking the time to share this info with us. I appreciate your effort. It is worth every single minute you spend on it.

Why can't it hint that to you somehow in the game. plenty of other games have points of no return but they normally tell you to only proceed if you have done everything else you want to do first.
Old post, but the game always has a long list of autosaves ready for you, so there's really no fear of being trapped and not being able to go back to your game. Just load the last save before you ended the game. It might be possible to turn autosaves off in the options, not sure, but if you do that it's really more your own fault than anything.

Anyway, I bet that not being able to do anything after initiating the end was probably a bug that's been fixed by now.
