satisfactory 100+ milestones

I once saw a screen shot that somebody posted after a major update , it showed all the layouts conveyors missing , apparently they were mk 6 and 7 from the 100+ mod. The belts had somehow got deleted when an update for the main game was released and now everything was at a stand still ...... no belts no production lines running.

This set me thinking .... what if i used the 100+ milestones mod BUT none of the items were in any way connected to anything in the vanilla game. This would mean that you would technically have 2 games running in the world but not actually interacting with each other. In theory if an update trashed the mods the main part of the game could be unaffected.

DISCLAIMER ...... depending on what new stuff arrives in 1.0 i am going to give it a try just to see if my theory works and if the sticky brown stuff hits the fan then i guess it will be my own fault.

Snutt says start a new build to reap all the benefits of 1.0 , i have almost 4,000 hours on my current build but because of what is happening in my personal life i cant start over and clock up another 4,000 hours.

Just wondering if anyone has used the 100+ milestones without anything bad happening

It's almost certainly going to break the mod, but they usually get it up and running pretty quickly. My recommendation is not to try your plan. Just wait another month. The game will be 1.0 and the mod will be updated or soon to be updated. Putting all those errors into your 4000 hour game is a really bad idea. Of course, you could always go back to a backup save so long as you are making/keeping those. As long as you are keeping backups, it's probably okay if you just can't wait.
