I build my 1first gaming pc today the hyte y70 touch and everything works but the y70 screen when I turn on the pc it starts it says Hyte then it goes to No Signal and a black screen i checked everything even connected the usb directly to the MB and the same y have my monitor connected to one DP and it works fine so I connected the hyte screen to that one DP connector where my monitor is connected and it worked but then my monitor won’t work on the other DP connector, is there any way I can fix this or is it a GPU problem ? Help please

If it says Hyte just after switching it on, it sounds as if you have a problem in the BIOS settings and then switches the display off after passing that part of the test in your Bios.

Go into your BIOS settings and then into Video settings. In there, set the video adapter to "auto". Once that is done, try again. If you get the same it could be your OS scanning the wrong resolution. Reboot let it go on and then after sevral times switching it off with the switch it will go into recovery mode. Then boot your windows in safe mode. Once in safe mode, change your resolution to native settings *it will say recommended next to the settings. Reboot and try again.

I am still thinking that since you get the original logo it is merely a setting messing with you and not an actual HW problem.

The video adapter is set to auto but I can’t boot in to safe mode because then it says my pincode is restored and it won’t let me connect to anything or enter

Never worked with one before so had to google this to see if I can find anything and found this:

Have you checked these? I noticed they are talking about 2 internal ports on the back of the Y70. Are you on the correct one. Was a bit scary seeing the guy hots switching displays so would not recommend doing that but go through his list and check everything step by step. Even if you know you have a cable there, unplug and replug. Sometimes what we remember doing is not what we actaully did.

Edit: Just thought about another possibility. Is windows actually switching on the 2nd monitor? Once you are booted up on your standard monitor and your Y70 is plugged in, goto your windows display settings and see what information it is giving you with regards to the 2nd monitor. It might not even be switching on the auto second monitor on the system.

Yes I did watch it it has 2 cables one usb and one SATA they are both connected and it’s weird because it’s like I can only use 1 screen if I connect it to the DP where my main screen is connected it works just fine but then my main monitor won’t work if I connect it on an other DP and in configuration it only detects one screen so I think it’s that only that one DP is giving image but then when I connect the y70 screen to another DP the screen goes black but the touch works on my main screen it’s hella weird

Just as a possibility. Boot up into windows on your normal monitor (Where your HYTE is just showing black). Then go into display settings inside windows (Desktop>right click>display setting) see if it shows up as a display in there. If not, look for the area saying multiple displays and in there click Detect other displays.

This is definitely something small and strongly doubt that this is a HW problem. If it works, it works we just now need to get it to work together.

I am getting the idea that windows do not know what to do with your second monitor (in your case the HYTE). I have seen a system where the guy was unable to have two different resolutions on multiple displays. To be honest till today I have no idea how he fixed it in the end but remember when I saw it, he had to have both monitors on exactly the same resolution else it simply would not work.

Yeah did that it doesn’t recognize 2 screens only the one that has image and about the resolution it might be because I’m using my old monitor since I ordered one and hasn’t arrived yet my op monitors is a HP 1920x1080 and when I connect the hyte to the working DP and then connect the HP it says something about the resolution then I have to restart the pc for it to work again on that DP

Think that is your problem right there. The resolution "thing". Like I said I have seen it once before but have no idea how (or even if) the guy ever solved it. All he wanted to do was to have a smaller screen mounted vertically on his left to read pdf's while working on the main screen. Apart from just the obvious settings I am no capable of going into this deeper. Maybe someone else on the forum knows a bit more about having different resolutions on two screens but this seems to be where your problem comes from.

Sorry that I could not help

Its one atleast you tried that matters more and I will keep looking because now I connected the hyte screen on that one DP and it’s working I see the fish and widgets etc of the nexus but now the other screen has no signal so I know both screens work so it’s not like the screens are malfunctioning it’s something about the configuration or connection somewhere but thank you for your help

I fixed the problem 😅 it was a Nvidia driver that wasn’t installed I looked everywhere for drivers and updates and there was none available but there it was in the folder of optional drivers that’s why it didn’t came up in the usual updates list
