Gaming Laptop

Consider a custom laptop - which is what Eluktronics are, except there are a lot of other makers in the UK e.g. Cyberpower, Scan 3XS, and PC Specialist. The Mech 17 is, as far as I know, a Tongfan chassis which those others also offer. Custom laptops usually being based on Clevo, Tongfang, or Quanta chassis.

What are you using the system for? Just gaming? Other uses?

And what's the budget?

Are you just gaming on the laptop screen or will you often be using an external monitor? If so, what resolution and refresh rate?

That seems like a reasonable sort of price for the hardware. Though it is manufacturer refurbished, which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on your POV.

Also, you're paying a premium for a laptop with an -S series CPU (9900k) rather than -H series ('mobile' CPU like 9750H). Some games will see a difference, but many won't see very much, and you're more likely to be more GPU bound in future too. So it's debatable whether it's worth spending £2k on that or instead ~£1400-ish on a laptop with a 9750H and an RTX 2070 - keeping the cash back for a future new laptop when an upgrade is needed, and probably sporting a longer warranty.
