Help on choosing my next laptop!

Hi guys,

I'm in the market for upgrading my gaming laptop. I currently have a Acer Predator Helios 300 17" with an Intel Core-i7 9750H, NVidia Ge-force 1660, 1TB HDD and I upgraded the RAM. I purchased this laptop just before Covid hit and it's been an unreal servent, i just can't fault it! Obviously, games are getting better and things need to be upgraded after a certain period so that's where I'm at now....

So, I'm currently looking at 2 laptops in my price range.

The first in an unknown make called Tulpar and the model is the T7 (they are sold in the UK on Amazon). The price last week was down to £820 (currently over £1k) but i'm sure this will go down again after Xmas.

The spec is:
17" Screen
Intel Core i7-12700H
NVidia Geforce RTX 3060
16GB DDR4 RAM
1TB HDD
Sound Blaster Cinema 6+

The other one i'm looking at is another Acer Predator Helios 300, mainly because I know they are built well having currently got one and have had zero issues! I can pick one of these up for around £900.

The spec is:
17" screen
Processor: i9-11900H
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
16 GB DDR4 RAM
Storage: 1 TB SSD

Am i right in thinking although the Helios has an i9 processor, the spec of the i7 in the Tulpar is overall better? Yet, the GFX card is better in the Helios!

What woud you guys do?

You are correct, but the GPU is going to be more important for gaming. You need to find out what the TGP is on both systems before making a final decision, but I would lean toward the 3070 system.
