Sorry about blabbing on about undesirable elements near my neighborhood guys. On a good note though, I forgot to say I met a couple guys while waiting for a bus on that avenue who regularly talk to people in some of the worst areas doing what I would call unorthodox ministry service. They don't force it on you, they don't hand out pamphlets, and they look like regular people. In their words, the women involved in such things are victims of men, and it's a problem that needs to be solved by men, to which I agreed completely.

Anyway, my personal Monkey talk for the day is the bike I was hoping to get on Craigslist is no longer showing, and I have a feeling the poor gal's husband insisted she take the ad down. However I checked again on Amazon, and it turns out now they DO have the same exercise bike brand with magnetic resistance that isn't the Bluetooth Pro model compatible with apps. Not only that, it's 30% off right now, less than $40 more than I paid for the friction pad bike.

I also found out why Amazon's Heavy Box Service (Maersk) has been taking so long to reschedule a pickup for the bike. A guy I just spoke to at Amazon said the criteria the RMA number was based on did not allow anything but main floor pickup (I live on the 3rd floor). So he contacted Maersk and Amazon's credit department so now Maersk knows the service has been approved for an upgrade from standard service.

Training mistakes (or lack of attention of trainees) often happen with Amazon, and their automated phone service leaves a lot to be desired, but their phone staff always do what they can to sort things out.

To be brief, I was encouraging a 14-year-old kid on the sports forum to make art his hobby. Real art, not AI. He has some talent, but it's raw. He decided to post a picture in the art thread tonight, and several people have responded with the laugh emoji. People are vile and evil. Absolute filth.

Also, that's the last place I would let my 14yo post. It's actually his dad's account, but his dad doesn't use the forums, just the news articles.

I guess they gave you something temporary you could use today, then?

I can still get into my laptop, my email and Microsoft Teams, so I can get some work done. I just can't reach our code repository or our ticketing system.

Oh no! Are you going to have to wear SHOES for eight hours straight!?

Don't be ridiculous, I'm not staying the entire day. If it doesn't get fixed in the morning I'll just try again on Thursday.

Sick for the first time this year and have no idea where I picked it up. Probably my kids, but they didn't seem to be sick at all, aside from maybe a little minor congestion in my youngest late last week, but they were both on Spring Break, so...?

Not the worst sickness, but I'm enough of a baby that it feels like the worst thing ever.

Going on a mini-vacation in July to Nashville and I'm getting really excited. We're mainly going to see Lord Huron in concert, but we will have an extra day to explore the city. I'm not a huge country music fan, but I appreciate and respect the history, it's all very interesting and there's lots of it there of course. Also, I'm not sure if this is a super touristy thing to do, but I'd love to get some real Nashville hot chicken lol. Still figuring out things we're going to do.

Trying to decide what to do with my day here. Being sick, I don't feel any obligation to be productive, so I could play games all day, but I also have some mini's I started prepping for paint and I've been feeling more of that itch in the last couple days, which is a nice change for me.

The question is, if I paint: Battletech or WW2 Infantry?

Ended-up doing a bit of both.

Got jackets painted on 15 US GI's and then did a basic drybrush on 4 Urbanmechs, but I think that's about all I'll do today, since I'm just tired.

I've called in sick for almost 1.5 weeks because I was just so tired. I didn't really have any other symptoms, but I mostly laid in bed whenever possible.

I haven't been able to play a game since the weekend. Entertaining my kid all day and then going back to work since Monday just leaves me completely drained at the end of the day.

The worst part however is that I'm really sleepy around 7-8 PM, but then I still have to walk and feed the dog and do some other chores and by the time I'm in bed I can't fall asleep any more.

Oh yeah, that is completely familiar. I'm especially drained with being sick right now, but usually I'm totally exhausted by 8:30 once the kids are in bed, but yeah, by bedtime I'm rolling around and unable to fall asleep.

The one thing that helps me fall asleep a little bit quicker is earplugs. I hate wearing them, but without them, I'll roll around for an hour and a half, with them, half an hour to an hour.

Put a cam on your RC Crawler, and figure out a way to have it retrieve things for you, like mounting a spring loaded mini grabber on it. That way you can just lay on the couch and recover.

I totally want to.

There's a camera for like $25 on Amazon that will fit in the Unimog I posted earlier in the thread. It'll connect to my phone, so I can watch that way.

My brother in law bought a DJI camera to connect to his RC Basher car using FPV. Unfortunately, it was kind of a janky solution and ended up not lasting.

And I could definitely get my cat. The Unimog has a two speed transmission and is surprisingly fast; jogging speed, really.
