Amazon (?) Unknown game title.

Can anyone help me, or am I going crazy.

I vividly remember playing a game perhaps 25yrs ago. I thought it was called Amazon. However that is either not the case or because of the huge company called amazon its now very difficult to find anything at all to back up what I remembered.

The game was on PC for definite and had multiple CDs needed to play it. It revolved around a man being asked to go and see this old proffersor/explorer at his house and then getting drawn into this quest to return an egg to the Amazon.

If anyone could please enlighten me as to what it's called or even what to search for to find any evidence of it.

Yep, that's the one! Can't believe I didn't think to spell it like that.

Very fond memories of this game, found it so difficult when I first played it (maybe 12/13yrs old at the time). No usable Internet to help either back then.
