I remember sticking with AltaVista for as long as I could, but Google just plain old worked better.

I used an aggregator program that combined results of many search engines... until I started using Google. I only thought of the old program recently and its long gone now, company just offers search services inside products.

I used both Alta Vista and Ask Jack. I believe Alta Vista was the better one. I also used some old chatbots that had different personalities and it felt quite futuristic for it's time since you could have some decent conversations before you started noticing the patterns.
