X570 Motherboard?

As above, yes, though I would quite possibly avoid both.

The Gigabyte Gaming X has poor VRM thermals:

And a lot of MSI's budget boards did too. They addressed it on at least one board - *I'm sketchy on the details - but I've no idea if the Gaming Plus is a 'fixed' one or not.

So I'd consider looking at something like the Asus X570 TUF which should be in the same ballpark price wise and ofx being X570 would take the 3900x without a BIOS update being required.

Be aware if you're not already that AMD are set to announce their Zen 3 CPUs on 8th October 🙂

Thank you. I just went to Asus web site for the Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus!. I'm going to check out some You Tube reviews after work.

I currently own a Ryzen 9 3900X. It will be interesting when the new ones are on the market.
