32GB RAM?

I'm looking for 32GB RAM recommendations for my Ryzen 9 3900X gaming PC build. I don't really understand all these RAM specs, I do know that RAM choices are especially important on Ryzen builds so the following RAM's listed below I've chosen from the Asus memory QVL for 3rd generation Ryzen processors for my Asus AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) ATX. Link included below with my parts list. My primary use for this PC is gaming with the capability to stream from the same PC, as well as maybe recording gameplay footage with software on the same PC. I will do video editing on this PC.

Every option here is within my budget of 300.00 USD while ordering the Scythe Fuma 2 with the RAM. I just don't know if any of these options are right for my build outside of being listed on the QVL.

These are 8GB so I would need to order 4.

sticks are sold in sets for a reason, they have been tested to work with each other. Individual sticks don't have that guarantee, the more you put together the more chances of errors. If you want 32gb buy a set of 32gb, don't buy 2 16gb sets and assume they all work together. Its a gamble, they might work fine or they might not, I prefer not to gamble. Especially since its a new PC, might as well start right

is the Royal series their ram with gold tops?? I see its one of the choices. Nothing to say about it.

Are they on the QVL?

With Ryzen it helps if you make sure the ram you choose works with the motherboard/CPU combo you pick.

If say you picked the G Skill ram I would go here and make sure it is listed as being tested with board - https://www.gskill.com/configurator

Also, do you need 32gb of ram? that is coming from someone with 32gb of ram. Do you often run out with 16gb or do you play Star Citizen in which case the latest Samsung DDR 5 7000 512gb sticks might just be enough for that game (note, this is a joke, you can't get or run DDR 5 yet and the 512gb sticks will be for servers only. Non workstation motherboards only support max of 128gb right now).

Everyone of these is on my motherboard QVL!. If the number 2 is a good recommendation?, I'll order that one!.

I also just noticed that in the number 2 listing, it says it is Intel XMP 2.0. Would this be a problem with Ryzen 9 3900X since the memory is on my motherboards QVL?

XMP works with AMD boards. Only some makers call it DOCP instead. Asus being one of them. It should work fine.

3600 is its XMP speed, all of the sticks you showed would run slower out of box until XMP or DOCP are enabled in bios.

Thanks Colif. Based on your advice to buy sticks in sets, I pulled these's kits from the QVL and found them on Newegg. If any of these's options are good for my needs, I'll order the kit today!.

Please note, while these's RAM kits are on my motherboard QVL, they are not on the Ryzen 3000 Series QVL. I don't know if this will be a problem?

if you don't care about RGB then 2 is best choice again

if you want RGB, number 1 is maybe slightly better than 3 but its pretty much even. Only place you notice difference would be benchmarks

Thanks Colif, I just want something that's works lol. While these's kits are on my motherboards QVL, they are not on the Ryzen 3000 Series QVL. Should this be a concern?

I found this set of RAM which is on both my CPU QVL and my motherboard QVL. The G.SKILL Trident Z Neo (For AMD Ryzen) Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin RGB DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C16Q-32GTZNC.

The RAM kit with the Scythe Fuma 2 air cooler is within my budget.
