@Pifanjr You should buy a lottery ticket. I went to a scrabble site and there are nearly 200 words you could have put in line 2 (not taking into account the letters you got wrong in line 1). Fortunately, with wordle, it always seems to be the most common word you can think of.

You suck. I had to work for mine. Actually, not so much. I always use the same first word, and if that got me mostly nowhere, then I use the same second word. Then, today, I immediately knew it.

@Zed Clampet I most often start (and most likely permanently now) with the word Snake. It's not the most brilliant word to start with, but it eases me into the puzzle with a yellow or green, or if I am lucky, both.

The problem with my starting word "stane" is that it's Scottish slang that would never actually be the answer, so accidentally getting the mythical one-line win is never going to happen.
