First of all why u choosing a mini atx board
You should go with an atx or micro atx which will be best for future upgrades and gaming.
And you can go for a r5 3600 as your processor that seems to better suit that rtx 2060 super I know 1600 at is a new implement but still from a gamer perspective,i think 3600 will be better and you can do light streaming too.
If your trying to build a compact PC then my reply won't matter other wise I personally recommend a micro atx build,
Better value for money
There is no other reason to go mini atx other than the compactness for pure gaming go micro atx or f atx

Hope it helps

But still why mini atx
It provides no room for expansions
And micro atx is the best choice for gamers as it provides further more ram slots and PCI lanes
I mean are you going for a compact build here? If then I would say it's fine

Just for gaming, or other uses too? Any specific software?

What monitor are you gaming on? What is the resolution and refresh rate?

Could you make a PC Partpicker list? Or are these all being bought from a single store..?

Hey @NatersCNF it will help to know if you plan to do anything other than gaming on this computer, and whether or not you have any restrictions from what stores you want to buy from. I'm wondering because you have an old Ryzen 5 listed there, which won't be sold anymore in most stores. I would also steer clear of that PSU. What price were you quoted for the specs you listed?

As for going Mini ITX, don't worry about it, I think Mini ITX is a great form factor and it's what I'm using in my current gaming rig.

I threw this together on PCPartPicker Canada:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ($259.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Motherboard: MSI B450I GAMING PLUS AC Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard ($169.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($99.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Storage: Intel 660p Series 1.02 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($159.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB PULSE Video Card ($539.99 @ Mike's Computer Shop)
Power Supply: SeaSonic FOCUS Plus Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($129.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Total: $1359.94
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

This is missing the case because, weirdly, I couldn't find it on the site. But as you can see it is definitely possible to get a newer Ryzen 5 3600 and a more powerful RX 5700 XT for your budget.

I will be primarly gaming on the machine
I've been basing prices off of amazon since I have no local computer stores unless you consider best buy
