Most my games start stuttering after a few minutes then crash to desktop with no error message. I looked in event viewer, and it says "device attached to system is not functioning". I was using a wired Xbox controller. I unplugged it, and plugged it back in to the USB port. I also switched to another USB port. I also have my headphones plugged, and did the same, but my games keep crashing. What do you think is going on?

Check Device Manager, look for red or yellow warning icons.
