If you have purchased the digital versions of Diablo 2 and Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction from Battle.net and are looking for something as close to a 'remaster' as you can find, you would do well to keep an eye on Project Diablo 2. Think of it as a server-based version of the original game with some slight QoL changes and a few modern design sensibilities thrown in the mix. Things like rare loot appearing on the minimap, new keybinds, some skills being reworked to make them more viable, that sort of thing. Nothing game changing, just things that would have been in the game by default if it was made and released today.
After abysmal Warcraft 3 Reforged I'll be extra careful with any and all Blizzard titles especially remasters since Blizz is clearly into a quick cash grabs and they've abandoned their policy of making great games.
