It is easier to just use a pcpartpicker link than type it all out or copy paste from system info

Mine might change a little in coming months, want a Ryzen 7 5800x3d and a new GPU, not sure which RX card I will get yet.
also 3 Noctua case fans to keep new parts cool. Probably final upgrade for it.

3600 is still fast enough, really depends on what you do.

OP is probably destined to get the ban hammer, but it is an interesting enough topic so why not:
all is not lost if that happens. Ways to keep thread alive after user is not.

i5-10400
24 gigs ram
Nvidia 1650 *so need to upgrade at some point, but I respect this card*
500gb ssd, 1tb hd and a 2 tb hd *was gonna get a 4 instead of 2, but that price jump...*

Inherited, bought new, horrible to work inside, solid as a rock since 2017. Plays what I want very nicely, eg:

I missed the XT off end of CPU
I don't know why I got 32gb, i rarely use more than 10gb but having it at least means that if I give a Virtual Machine 8gb of ram, I still have plenty spare while its running.
left is with VM running, right is without

Never noticed it used so much but then I can't tell. It doesn't slow PC at all. If I only had 16gb the VM probably get less ram.

This rig was built for me by pc specialist in uk 6 years ago when the gtx 1080 had just come out.

The tower COOLERMASTER HAF-X FULL TOWER GAMING CASE, the tower is massive.
The cpu is Intel® Core™i7 Six Core Processor i7-6800K (3.4GHz) 15MB Cache.
The motherboard is ASUS® ROG STRIX X99: ATX, USB 3.1, SATA 6 GB/s.
The ram is 16GB HyperX FURY DDR4 2133MHz (4 x 4GB) ....
The graphics card is 8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1080 - DVI, HDMI, 3x DP - GTX VR Ready! zotac version
The main drive is 480GB HyperX SAVAGE 2.5" SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (up to 560MB/sR | 530MB/sW) for windows and all the items you can’t chose where they install.
The second drive is 960GB HyperX SAVAGE 2.5" SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (up to 560MB/sR | 530MB/sW) for my steam client games and all other games.
The dvd/blue ray is 24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM.
The power supply is CORSAIR 650W CS SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET.
The cpu cooler is Noctua NH-D15S Ultra Quiet Performance CPU Cooler, this is huge!

FOOTNOTE for WoodenSaucer ...... your/our gtx 1080 does not suck !!!!!
According to some postings i see on steam i can run games that newer cards struggle with and it is not overclocked , that said , a rigs overall performance also depends on the rest of the components

Many people go and buy the biggest badest GPU and then don't think about anything else, so run a 3090 on a 650watt PSU and wonder why screen and or USB devices turn off in game. So yes, it does take more than just a GPU

the tower is massive.
I believe that is an understatement

Does it have its own trolley?

My 2070 Super doesn't really need to be replaced but since you cannot actually buy them anymore, I would like to retire it before I have to. Would be nice to have a spare GPU, I could put it in my old PC. I am waiting to see the new AMD GPU before i decide.

My specs suck by today's standards. But even so, I'm happy to have my PC back.

Ryzen 5 3600
16GB RAM
GTX 1080
2TB SSD, 3TB 7200RPM HDD

My 1080 is still in use and still holds up for my wifes pc. Never had a problem with it since they released the 1080. Very good card imo next to the 980s.

I might split my upgrade into 2 as the cost of a 5800x3d is still too high for me to consider buying both it and a GPU at same time. I just hate not knowing what I am doing.
Every other day its something else. According to a slip made by Seasonic the RX 7800xt should run on a 750watt PSU so that works for me. I guess just because card is released in October, it doesn't mean I see any before next year down here (Australia) so buying CPU might be easier choice. That and no idea of what price new one will be either.

I hate not knowing what I am doing. I just keep saving I guess. And flip flopping between items. Only want GPU to be able to run my monitor at full speed in games without tearing. Currently I am maxed at 100fps.

I only buy every other generation, and I'm on 20 series GPU's right now, 2070 Super in my desktop and 2080 Max Q on my laptop. But I'm also using 1080p screens/monitors. I can't wait for the 40 series. Going to jump to 4k on my desktop.

Anywho, not 10 minutes ago I helped my daughter pick out a new laptop for school/gaming. These are the specs:

GPU 3070 TGP 155
CPU i7 11800H
RAM 16 GB (expandable to 32) DDR4 3200
1 TB NVMe SSD
15.6” 240Hz FHD

Laptop prices have gone down hundreds of dollars in just a month or so. This was only $1200.
